2019 MPSO Special Election

The following members of the MPSO were nominated (in the following order) at the Special Membership meetings of Monday, June 17th, 2019.

Raymond Brock

Joseph T. Hall

  As previously communicated, since the total number of nominees is greater than double the positions up for election, there will be both a Primary Election and then a Final Election.  The top two (2) vote getters from the Primary Election will proceed to a Final Election.

The term of office for this Special Election will be the unexpired term of retired Director Nicholas Kerhin, which runs through December 31, 2020.

As announced in the May 20th, 2019 Posting and required by Article 5 of the MPSO Constitution, this election will follow the parameters set forth in Article 5Accordingly, the following timeline will apply:

Monday, July 8th, 2019 –         Primary Election ballots will be mailed to each Active member in good standing.

Thursday, July 18th, 2019 –     Date by which all ballots must be postmarked (within 10 days of mailing).

Monday, July 22nd, 2019 –        Ballots will be counted and results announced.  (The top two vote-getters will then advance to the Final Election – see below.

Monday, August 5th, 2019 –     Final Election ballots will be mailed to each Active member in good standing.

Thursday, August 15th, 2019-Date by which all ballots must be postmarked (within 10 days of mailing).

Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Ballots will be counted, results announced, and top vote getter seated.
