MPSO Board Special Election

Consistent with the MPSO Constitution and By-laws, a Special Election will be held to fill the unexpired term of retiring Director Nicholas Kerhin, which runs through December 31st, 2020.

Monday, June 17th, 2019 –       Nominations will be accepted at Special General Membership Meetings at   9:00 am & 7:00 pm at the MPSO Hall.

Any member interested in running for these positions must do the following:

  1. Nominations shall be made from the floor by a current MPSO member in good standing and receive two seconds from other current MPSO member in good standing.
  2. Nominee must either be present at the meeting or accept the nomination in a signed and dated letter.
  3. Members eligible for nomination must have attended at least two General Membership meetings during the twelve (12) months preceding their nomination.  If the member is present at the General Membership meeting during which they are nominated, this meeting will count as one of the required two meetings.

 Monday, July 8th, 2019 –            Primary Election ballots (if more than two candidates are nominated) or   Final Election ballots if two candidates are nominated will be mailed to each active member in good standing.

 Thursday, July 18th, 2019 –     Date by which all ballots must be postmarked (within 10 days of mailing).

 Monday, July 22nd, 2019 –        Ballots will be counted and results announced.  (If a primary election; the top two vote-getters will advance to the Final Election – see below.   If a Final Election, the highest vote getter will be elected and seated).

Monday, August 5th, 2019 –     Final Election ballots will be mailed to each active member in good standing.

Thursday, August 15th, 2019-Date by which all ballots must be postmarked (within 10 days of mailing).

Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Ballots will be counted, results announced, and top vote getter seated.
